Contemporary Art Engagement

Have you noticed that spending time in a museum makes you calm and focused? Have you often felt that looking at artworks, really looking, ignites a little fire in your brain? That discussing a topic with others gives you a sense of connection and wellbeing?

Then my contemporary art engagement program is for you.

An art engagement program that uses the artworks of our time

Sabine’s sessions will make you wonder, think and look at the world with a fresh perspective. The sessions are centred around the idea of object-based looking: taking time to be with each artwork to let its stories and our reactions unfold. Everybody is given a voice. At the core of my program the belief that art is for everyone, and that witnessing and using creativity can enrich and brighten our lives and increase our sense of wellbeing.

Art Tours

The Art Tours are 2hrs long and take place on site, visiting a museum, a few smaller galleries, or public artworks outside. The sessions are inclusive, fun and engaging. By closely looking at artworks, we will unravel the mysteries and pleasures of art together. The tours will offer a safe space in which you can think, talk and make new connections, and connect with other art lovers.

Art Engagement Sessions

The Engagement sessions are 1 hour long and theme-based. They are brought to you either on Zoom or in the classroom. The theme is attuned to the interests of your audience. An A-level art history class? We will pick a theme that is current in the curriculum and use contemporary artworks to shine a new light on preconceived ideas. An organisation with immigrant learners? We can talk about artworks by immigrant artists and how their rich experiences of being part of different cultures forms the basis and strength of their work. Whatever your interest and needs, my sessions aim to make the art experience relevant for YOU.
