Born in India in 1979, Narielwalla came to London in 2003 to study fashion, then completed a Phd at the University of the Arts. His intricate multimedia use an original collage technique around the iconic brown paper of discarded tailoring patterns, which he enriches with vibrant colour, finding the hidden patters within. It is a joy to watch the resulting creations: luminous works that explore the cross-cultural significance of maps, scientific exploration and the human body.
